The skin above this old cyst was severely thinned out due to increasing pressure over the years and there were actually 3 dilated pores. Contents were so hardened at the surface I couldn’t even squeeze it out with pressure. I cut out that thin skin because it would not have held sutures at all. Cyst dissection shows a perfect example of how the cyst contents dry out and harden the closer they are to the open pore and exposed to oxygen.
